Representation and pro bono legal consulting

Since 2000, founding and active participation in “Schar Mitzva”, the Israel Bar Association pro bono program. Providing representation and legal consulting pro bono to underprivileged populations at the Welfare Department, South Jerusalem (Gilo Neighborhood). This program aims to expand the accessibility to the judicial system and protect the rights of those who are unable to afford legal services.

In addition, the firm provides regular representation to underprivileged populations in the various legal courts, including people who are not entitled to representation by the Legal Aid Unit of the Ministry of Justice.

 

Voluntary tenure

Adv. Joshua Kramer (Beloved (Yakir) of Jerusalem 2022, Beloved (Yakir) of the Israel Bar Association for 2013), was elected by the attorneys to serve as chairman of the Disciplinary Tribunal of the Israel Bar Association, Jerusalem District.

This tribunal enforces disciplinary action and rules of ethics on lawyers in Jerusalem District.

The tribunal includes panels of dayanim (judges in office), at a total number of 45. Adv. Joshua Kramer is professionally responsible for dayanim and is also an active dayan.

Adv. Kramer is serving in this office for more than 10 years. The office requires resources and a considerable amount of time,and provided on a full voluntary basis.

 

Help and financial assistance

Financial assistance to various voluntary organizations, including:

 

“Hut HaMeshulash” Association, Jerusalem, for support of young adults at risk and homeless people ages 14-25. This association changes the destiny of young adults and youth at risk providing the safe space and required support leading to their normative integration as confident, capable individuals.

 

Established in 1999, the association aims to provide solutions to teenagers and young adults at risk who have nowhere to turn to. This is the only organization in Israel that provides accommodation, emotional and physical support and programs to a wide range of ages, also including young people over 18 years of age and pregnant women.

 

 

 

Frequent financial support to charities to fund “Kimcha De Phischa” (flour for Passover) and food baskets for people in need just before Rosh Hashana (the Jewish New Year).

 

 

Active volunteering

Active volunteering and financial support of “Bishvil Ahim” Association, volunteers for bereaved brothers and sisters, by organizing field trips and activities sponsored by “One Family” Association for supporting families of terror victims, casualties of hostile acts, and IDF fallen.

 

 One Family

Was founded for casualties of terror and their families in Israel. This association embraces bereaved family members (mainly siblings) and makes sure they will never cope alone.

Voluntary leading and representation of commemoration projects

Founding “Tal Center” as a social center for young adults in memory of Tal Nahum of blessed memory.

 

“Tal Center”, a center for the youth of Mevaseret Zion, was founded in memory of Tal Nahum of blessed memory, by her family, with the support of Mevaseret Zion Local Council, and together with Adv. Sagi Tirosh, friend of the family. Tal was killed in a road accident in Mexico when she was only 21. “Tal Center”, which was established in the spirit of her character and legacy, provides young adults with academic guidance, vocational orientation, preparation for post-army trip, guidance for opening a small business, guidance for young parents etc.

 

 

Ongoing voluntary consultation – c.a.t.a.m.o.n – Dance Group in Jerusalem

Since it was founded in 2012 by choreograph Elad Schechter, the group has strived to develop the art of dance and exhibit it in the public space in Jerusalem. The association acts in recognition that, as a center for body and movement artists, it is able to combine and bridge over co-existing cultures in Jerusalem.  The group includes artists of various disciplines sharing a deep desire to develop, live, and create art in the city. The association acts using the uniqueness of the city and the great inspiration its residents derive from it. The association believes that this way a basis is formed for local, complex, professional art which is capable of connecting, deepening, and moving.

 

Out of identification with the vision and values of the association, the firm provides it with ongoing consultation relating to all aspects of its activity (in Israel and abroad), pro bono.
